San Cristóbal de las Casas, Chiapa. The Magic Town!

San Cristóbal de las Casas has an ethnic presence and a rich colonial tradition that keep it as one of the favorite destinations for foreign tourism. Its construction followed a process similar to that of other colonial cities that were created in New Spain. In the first place, the main square was drawn, around which the places that would occupy the most important constructions were designated.

There is no better way to discover a Magical Town than from its gastronomy. So here are some delicious recommendations: Turkey en mole, beef jerky, roast coleto, bread soup, and tachilhuil (if pork entrails aren't your thing, then you can skip this last dish).

And to accompany it, we suggest you try cinnamon water, sour atole, hot pineapple punch or the traditional pox .
